Yohann Auvitu (b. July 27th 1989 in France) is a professional defenceman who plays in the SM-Liiga for JYP Jyväskylä.
The young offensive defenceman has been invited in 2008 to move to Finland by his former head coach Ari Salo to play in Jyväskylä, first with JYP's junior team, then with D Team, their Mestis affiliate.
One of the most promising French young players, Auvitu has, after successful displays with the U20 national team, soon secured his first international games with the senior French National Team, earning his first chance in November 2009 in the Polesie Cup. He then played for France at the 2010 Men's World Ice Hockey Championships.
