'XEWW-AM or XTRA-AM 690 was (the station has gone through several ownership and format changes since it relevance to ice hockey) a radio station based in Tijuana, Mexico. The station has a high powered signal which reaches the greater Los Angeles area. The station was the flagship radio broadcaster for the Los Angeles Kings from the 1990-91 to 1997-98 seasons. Nick Nickson was the play-by-play announcer during the whole run. He would have Tom Laidlaw (1990-91, Brian Engblom (1991-92 to 1994-95, and Mike Allison (1995-96 to 1997-98). Nickson is still the radio voice of the Kings as of the 2023-24 season.
