Primary school logo for athletics

The Wisconsin-Superior Yellowjackets are a Men's Division III, and Women's Division III team in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Both teams were members of the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association prior to the formation of a hockey conference by the WIAC.

Both programs are based out of the Wessman Arena, which hosted its first game on November 11, 1970.

Men's program

The men's program dates back to the 1927-28 season.

The team qualified for the NAIA national ice hockey championship tournament in 1972, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, and 1984 winning the tournament in 1976

The team qualified for the NCAA Divsion III tournament in 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2006, 2009, and 2011 . The team reached the final four in 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 2000, 2001, and 2002 . The team won the NCAA Division III tournament in 2002.

The team won the NCHA regular season championship in 1993-94, 1990-91, and 2008-09

The team won the NCHA Tournament in 1994, 1997, 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2006.

The men's program hired Rich McKenna as head coach on May 11, 2016.

The women's program was established in 1998.

The team won the NCHA regular season championship in 2000-01, 2003-04, 2006-07, and 2007-08.

The team won the NCHA tournament in 2008

The team qualified for the NCAA tournament in 2006, 2008

The team reached the Final Four in 2008
