The Wisconsin-Eau Claire Blugolds are a Men's Division III, and Women's Division III team in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference both teams previously played in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association until the WIAC added ice hockey as a varsity sport for both men and women starting with the 2013-14 season.
Men's program[]
The men's program was established for the 1977-78 season. They were a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics until 1984. The team was a member of the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association from its formation in 1980 until the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men's hockey conference was formed for the 2013-14 season.

Women's program[]
The women's program was established for the 1997-98 season. The team was a member of the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association from its formation until the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's hockey conference was formed for the 2013-14 season. The team has had only one head coach during its existence, Mike Collins.
