The Wilson Cup is a cup competition created in 2008 by and for the four New South Wales teams of the Australian Ice Hockey League. The Cup is held prior to the start of the AIHL season.

History

The Cup was donated on behalf of John and Carol Wilson, two people who were very involved in the support of ice hockey in Australia. The tournament was launched on February 9th 2008 and involved the AIHL Bears, the Sydney Ice Dogs, the Newcastle North Stars and the Central Coast Rhinos. The tournament was eventually won by the Bears.

The Central Coast Rhinos have won the 2009 Wilson Cup edition, despite being excluded from the AIHL for the season, due to the team refusing to buy an AIHL licence for the season.
