William Smith Herons are the women's ice hockey team at William Smith College (an all women's college). The school is based out of Geneva, New York The school is the sister college to Hobart College which has a men's hockey team in ECAC West, the Hobart Statesmen.
The school announced on February 26, 2013 that they were adding ice hockey and volleyball to its athletic department. The Herons joined ECAC West for the 2014-15 season. The team is based out of the Geneva Recreation Complex Skating Rink, which is known as the Cooler.
For its first season the team finished with a 2-15-1 conference record and a 3-21-1 overall record.
