William Löfqvist (born April 12, 1947 in Gavle, Sweden, dead 23 October 2016) was a Swedish ice hockey goaltender who played for Brynäs IF in the Swedish top division from 1968 until 1983.

His team won the Swedish championship in 1970, 1971, 1976, 1977, and 1980. Löfqvist was awarded the Guldpucken award as the best player in the league in 1971-72.

Löfqvist played for Sweden in the 1971 World Championship (winning the bronze medal), 1973 World Championships (winning the silver medal), 1976 World Championship (winning the bronze), 1976 Canada Cup, and 1980 Olympics (winning the bronze).

He retired in 1983, and later became the the manager of Brynäs IF. He died on 23 October 2016, suffering from breast cancer, and attempted to spread awareness that men can also be affected.[1]
