The Wetaskiwin Colonels were a senior team that played in the Central Alberta Hockey League for the 1939-40 and 1940-41 seasons. The photo shown is of the Wetaskiwin Army Colonels in 1945, the notable player on the team is on the far right end, Larry Kwong the first chinese player to play in the NHL in 1948 with the New York Rangers. The Colonels team played in various leagues from the 1930s to their final season in 1984-85 winning several league and provincial hockey championships.
