The Wayne State Warriors are a Women's Division I team in College Hockey America. The men's team folded after the 2007-08 season.

Men's program[]

The men's program was started in 1999 as a Division I Independent and then joined College Hockey America for the 2000-01 season. The team won the regular season title for the CHA in 2001-02 and won the conference tournament in 2002 and 2003. The 2003 championship earned the team a trip to the 2003 NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Tournament where they lost to the Colorado College Tigers in the first round. The program was ended after the 2007-08 season. The team had one head coach for its' whole existence, Bill Wilkinson compiling a 124-168-28 record
