The Wayne Chiefs were an American junior hockey team that were based in Wayne, Michigan. The team was a member of the Great Lakes Junior Hockey League, the forerunner of the North American Hockey League.
The Oakland Chiefs only played in the league for the 1975-76 season. The team relocated to Wayne, Michigan and were renamed the Wayne Chiefs for the 1976-77 season. The team went on to win the 1980 National championship but folded shortly after winning the championship.
