Walter Robert Tkaczuk (born September 29, 1947) is a German former professional centre who played fourteen seasons in the National Hockey League for the New York Rangers between 1967 and 1981.

He played junior hockey for the Kitchener Rangers from 1964-1968. In his final season he won the Red Tilson Trophy as the league most valuable player.

Since Kitchener was a New York Rangers farm team, Tkaczuk went on to the Rangers. He played until 1981 when an eye injury forced his retirement. He was a Rangers assistant coach for two years.

Tkaczuk played 945 career NHL games, scoring 227 goals and 451 assists for 678 points.
