Walter "Wally" Stanowski (born April 28, 1919) is a retired Canadian ice hockey defenceman. He was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

He played junior hockey in the Winnipeg area, with the East Kildonan Bisons and the St Boniface Seals. He won the Memorial Cup with the Seals in 1937-38.

Stanowski started his National Hockey League career with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1939. He was named to the first NHL All-Star Team in 1940-41. He won 4 Stanley Cups with the Maple Leafs in 1942, 1945, 1947, and 1948.

He took a break to join the Air Force in World War II and rejoined the Leafs in 1944-45.

The Leafs trade him to the New York Rangers in 1948. He was demoted to the Cincinnati Mohawks in 1951. In the 1951-52 season, he broke his leg and was forced to retire.

He is a member of the Manitoba Hockey Hall of Fame.
