
The Wadena Wildcats are a senior hockey team that play in the Wheatland Hockey League. They previously played in the Fishing Lake Hockey League from 1952 to 2013. The team has played since 1946. The team is named in honour of the Saskatchewan 214th Battalion which was organized in the town including men from the surounding area. The unit served in the First World War. The unit was named the "Wildcat Battalion".
