Vojtěch Mozík (born on December 26, 1992 in Praha) is a Czech professional ice hockey defenceman. He is currently playing with the Kunlun Red Star of the KHL.
Club career[]
Mozík played junior hockey with the BK Mladá Boleslav organisation. He made his senior debut during the 2011-12 season when he played 11 games with the BK Mladá Boleslav under-20 team and also 27 regular season games, 12 relegation games and 7 Tipsport Extraliga qualification games with the BK Mladá Boleslav of the Tipsport Extraliga.
In the 2012-13 season played Mozík 5 games with the BK Mladá Boleslav which was demoted into the 1. Liga after the 2011-12 season and also 28 regular season games and 18 play-off games on loan with the HC Plzeň of the Tipsport Extraliga. Mozík became the Tipsport Extraliga champion with the HC Plzeň in this season.
In 2013 - 2015, Mozík continued with the HC Plzeň of the Tipsport Extraliga. In the 2014-15 season was Mozík the defenceman who scored most goals (10) among all other defencemen of the Tipsport Extraliga.
In 2015, Mozík signed a two-year contract with the New Jersey Devils organisation and played 7 games with the New Jersey Devils of the NHL and 53 regular season games and 11 play-off games with the Albany Devils of the AHL during the 2015-16 season. During his second season in North America, Mozík played only with the Albany Devils and was selected to play at the 2017 AHL All-Star Game.
In 2017 - 2019, Mozík played with the Vityaz Podolsk of the KHL. In the 2017-18 season was Mozík named the KHL Defenceman of the Week on October 30, 2017 and on December 25, 2017 and also played at the 2018 KHL All-Star Game. In the 2018-19 season was Mozík named the KHL Defenceman of the Month for December 2018.
After that, Mozík played the 2019-20 season with the Färjestad BK of the SHL. He also began the 2020-21 season there but after 16 games played, Mozík moved to the Kunlun Red Star of the KHL to finish there the season. He played there 23 games.
International career[]
He played for the Czech Republic at the 2012 World Junior Championship and at the 2018 Olympics.
