Vojtěch Budík (born on January 29, 1998 in Pardubice) is a Czech ice hockey defenceman currently playing with the HC Plzeň of the Tipsport Extraliga. He was selected 130th overall in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft by the Buffalo Sabres.
Club career[]
Budík began playing junior hockey with the HC Pardubice organisation. In 2015, Budík moved to North America in order to play with the Prince Albert Raiders of the WHL. He played there for three seasons.
Budík returned to Czechia in 2018. In the 2018-19 season, he played 34 regular season games, 6 relegation games and 7 Tipsport Extraliga qualification games with the HC Dynamo Pardubice of the Tipsport Extraliga and he also played 3 games on loan with the HC Dukla Jihlava of the Chance Liga.
Since 2019, Budík plays with the HC Plzeň of the Tipsport Extraliga. He is signed there until the end of the 2021-22 season.
International career[]
Budík represented Czechia at the 2014 World U17 Hockey Challenge, 2015 and 2016 World U18 Championships and at the 2017 and 2018 World Junior Championships.
