Viktor Antipin (born on December 6, 1992 in Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kazakhstan) is a Russian-Kazakh professional ice hockey defenceman. He is currently playing with the SKA St. Petersburg of the KHL.

His father Vladimir also played ice hockey.

Club career[]

Antipin played junior hockey with the Metallurg Magnitogorsk organisation. He made his senior debut in the 2008-09 season playing 10 games with the Metallurg Magnitogorsk-2 of the Pervenstvo VHL.

In 2009 - 2012, he played with the Stalnye Lisy Magnitogorsk of the MHL and during the 2010-11 season, he also played 2 games with the Metallurg Magnitogorsk of the KHL. In 2010, he won the MHL title and in the 2010-11 season, he played at the MHL All-Star Game. In the 2011-12 season, he was also selected to be the defenceman of the month for the October 2011.

In 2012 - 2017, he played with the Metallurg Magnitogorsk of the KHL. In the 2012-13 season, he was chosen as the rookie of the month for the November 2012 and participated at the 2013 KHL All-Star Game. In the 2013-14 season, he became the defenceman of the month for January 2014 and also won the Gagarin Cup with the Metallurg Magnitogorsk. In the 2014-15 season, Antipin won the KHL Gentleman Award. In the 2015-16 season, he won his second Gagarin Cup. And in the 2016-17 season, Antipin was selected to be the defenceman of the week for the week of November 27, 2016 and for the 2017 Gagarin Cup finals and was also selected to the First All-Star Team.

In the 2017-18 season, Antipin played with the Buffalo Sabres of the NHL.

In 2018, he returned to Russia and for the next two seasons played again with the Metallurg Magnitogorsk of the KHL. In the 2018-19 season, Antipin was the defenceman of the week of November 19 and also played at the 2019 KHL All-Star Game.

In 2020, Antipin signed a two-year contract with the SKA St. Petersburg of the KHL.

International career[]

Antipin played with the Russian National Team at the 2009 World U18 Championship. He also played at the 2009 World Junior A Challenge where he won the bronze medal with the Russian team. Then he won a silver medal at the 2012 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships. He also played at the 2015, 2016 and 2017 World Championships winning the silver medal in 2015 and bronze medal in 2016 and 2017.
