The Vermilion County Bobcats were a professional hockey team scheduled to join the Southern Professional Hockey League for the 2021-22 season. The team was announced on March 10, 2021. The team will be based out of the David S. Palmer Arena in Danville, Illinois.
The Bobcats would cease operations on February 9th. The team had forfeited a February 5th home game.[1] Reasons for the action were financial issues caused by low attendance.[2]
