Vanessa Emond (born April 18, 1988) is a women's ice hockey player.

Playing careerEdit

Emond played for the Dawson College Blues women's ice hockey team in Quebec Ligue de hockey féminin collégial AA from 2006 to 2008. She accumulated 75 points in her first year (45 goals, 30 assists) for the College. The following season, she had 65 points (34 goals, 31 assists). She was named the Most Valuable Player of her team and represented Team Quebec twice. Emond was a Montreal Canadiens scholarship holder in 2010 from the Quebec Foundation for Athletic Excellence.[1]

As a freshman in 2008-09, Emond was fourth on the team with 15 assists in her rookie year. Her first career multi-point game was in a 4-3 win over Clarkson in game one of the ECAC Hockey Quarterfinals. The following season, she led the team in goals with 17 and scoring (33 points). Of her seventeen goals, three were short-handed while two were registered on the power play. In addition, she had two game winning goals. The first was October 30 versus Yale while the second was February 27 versus Clarkson.
