They played in the Rocky Mountain Junior Hockey League for the 2015-16 season as the Breckenridge Bucks. They were based out of the Stepen C West Ice Arena. The team operated as a partner of the Summit Lightning Youth Hockey Association and the Summit High School Tigers. The team joined the Western States Hockey League for the 2016-17 season. The team was originally scheduled to stay in Breckenridge, however; the RMJHL had awarded an expansion team to the city that became the Breckenridge Bears.
