The Uzbekistan Ice Hockey Championship is the first level of ice hockey in Uzbekistan.
History[]
In an effort to revive ice hockey in Uzbekistan, several HK Binokor Tashkent veterans decided to reintroduce a competition in the capital Tashkent. This led to a first edition of the championship in February 2013. Four original teams take part in the competition: Akuly, le Bars, Bely Medvedi et Binokor. The championship plays only two games per team during this original season. After five years of silence, the league was reborn in February 2019. This news is accompanied by the announcement of an edition of the KHL World Game in Tashkent in the newHumo Arena. The re-creation of the championship is done in the context of An application for admission from Uzbekistan to theIIHF.
