I'm new here and i live in belton texas home of the now defunct Central Texas Stampede. I really miss hockey in my town. Currently my wife and i drive to Austin about 65 miles away to watch the Texas Stars. AHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars. Anyone on here miss hockey in my town? The Stampede is what got me in to the game. I hv loved it ever since. I just wish hockey would return but in this economy it wouldn't last long. We hv the Bell County Exop Center which has been the home of the Stampede for all of its existance. I will always hv fond memories of all the games i attended. I still hv replica jerseys of the team. If there was any way hockey could return to the area a new arena or something. The Temple Belton and Killeen area is the place to be. Hockey is the greatest game ever. I bet nobody knows this, but the greatest comeback in history was the Stampede rallying from 6 goals down to beat the Waco Wizards. My fondest memory. The great Stampede rivalry with the Austin Ice Bats also now defunct. Great memories great times. GO STARS
