The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a federation of seven states in the southwestern part of the Arabian Peninsula in Asia. It has a population fast approaching 5,000,000.

The United Arab Emirates men's national ice hockey team represents the United Arab Emirates in international competition.
It competed for the first time in the International Ice Hockey Federation's World Championship in 2010. It finished last in Group A of the 2010 IIHF World Championship Division III tournament in Luxembourg.
In June 2008, UAE took part in the inaugural Arab Cup of Ice Hockey in Abu Dhabi, also involving the national teams of Algeria, Morocco and Kuwait. UAE went on to finish first in the standings and won the gold medal after defeating Kuwait 4-1. UAE won gold in the 2009 IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia.
The first hockey games were played in UAE in the 1970's. The first national league was played in 1979, but after few years the development of hockey in the country slowed down and no national championships were played until the beginning of the 1990's. The UAE Ice Hockey Committee was founded in 1998.
