The USC Trojans men's ice hockey team is a former varsity level team that played from 1925 to 1941. The team was a member of the Pacific Coast Conference from 1928 to 1941. The team was based out of Palais de Glace (Los Angeles) (1925–1938) - Tropical Ice Gardens (1938–1941). The program was discontinued with the start of World War II.
The university presently has a club level team playing in the Pacific 8 Intercollegiate Hockey Conference which is a member of the American Collegiate Hockey Association at the Division II level.
On March 30, 2025 the University of Southern California announced they were planning on building a 5,000 seat arena in EXposition Park to become home to a NCAA Division I men's ice hockey program which will begin play with the 2027-28 season when the arena opens. Construction is due to start in the fall of 2025.[1]
