"Inuk" is the name of the sports teams of the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi, located in Saguenay, Quebec.
History[]
The Inuk are members of the Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec (RSEQ), formerly known as the Quebec Universities Athletic Association (QUAA), and probationary members of U Sport, formerly known as the Canadian Interuniversity Athletic Union (CIAU) and Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS).
They started in 1976-77 (under the QUAA and CIAU banners) and remained there until 1985-86 when they folded the program. In 2022-23 they joined the RSEQ's new Division 2 for men's hockey. In 2023-24, UQAC became a probationary member of U Sports.
