"Spartans" is the name of the sports teams from Trinity Western University (TWU), located in Langley, British Columbia. TWU is a member of the Canada West Universities Athletic Association (CWUAA) and U Sports (formerly known as CIS). They joined the CWUAA hockey league in 2020-21.
The program was established as a varsity program for the 2020-21 playing season. The team played as a club type program in the Sunshine Coast Women's Hockey League until the 2019-20 season. Jean Laforest was named the head coach of the team beginning with the varsity program in 2020.[1]
