The Toronto Marlboros of the Ontario Hockey Association Junior A league were stregthened players from other junior teams for an exhibition game against the Soviet National Team in Toronto on December 14, 1965. This was during the Soviets' 1965-66 tour of Canada.
They lost the game 4-3 after taking a 3-1 lead. Ted Snell, Andre Lacroix, and Danny Grant scored.
The coach was Gus Bodnar of the Marlboros.
The team's goalie was Joey Bamford of the senior Fort William Beavers, who had tied the Soviets 3-3 the previous year with the Lakehead Senior All Stars.
