Tommy Sjödin (b. August 13th 1965 in Timrå, Sweden) is a retired right defenceman.
A skilled defenceman, Sjödin was drafted to the National Hockey League by the Minnesota North Stars 237th overall in the 1985 NHL Entry Draft. It took a while before Sjödin makes it to the NHL; he indeed stayed with Brynäs IF until 1992. The next season, he made his North American debuts.
He played a full season with the North Stars, scoring seven times and assisting 29 times. The next season was split between the Dallas Stars, the Kalamazoo Wings and the Quebec Nordiques. That was all the North American action Sjödin would see in his career, as he flew back to Europe in 1994 to join HC Lugano.
1999 marked his return to Brynäs IF. He would play nine more seasons with Brynäs before retiring in 2008.
