Tom Ronald Webster is a retired former professional ice hockey player and coach. He was born (October 4, 1948 in Kirkland Lake, Ontario).

Career

Webster played his junior hockey with the Niagara Falls Flyers of the Ontario Hockey Association from 1965-68. In 1967-68 the Flyers won the Memorial Cup.

Originally selected by the Boston Bruins in the 1966 NHL Entry Draft, Webster played mostly for the Bruins farm team the Oklahoma City Blazers in 1968-69 and 1969-70. He was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the 1970 NHL Expansion Draft and then traded to the Detroit Red Wings for Roger Crozier.

After a couple of seasons with the Wings Webster junped to the New England Whalers of the World Hockey Association in 1972. Webster played six seasons for the Whalers, winning the Avco World Trophy in 1972-73. He also played on Team Canada in the 1974 Summit Series.

He retired in 1980. In the NHL he scored 33 goals and 42 assists in 102 games. He scored 220 goals in the World Hockey Association.

After his retirement from playing he has been the head coach for a number of teams at various levels of hockey, including the New York Rangers and Los Angeles Kings.
