Tommellor

Thomas Robert (Tom) Mellor (born January 27, 1950 in Cranston, Rhode Island) is a retired professional ice hockey defenseman who played 26 regular season games in the National Hockey League for the Detroit Red Wings between 1973 and 1975. As an amateur, he played for the Boston College men's hockey team as well as the United States national team at the 1972 Winter Olympics (where he won a bronze medal) as well as the 1971, 1972, and 1973 Ice Hockey World Championship tournaments.

He had been drafted 68th overall by the Detroit Red Wings in the 1970 NHL Amateur Draft. After finishing his Boston College career, he joined the Red Wings in 1973. He played in 25 games for them in 1973-74, scoring 2 goals and 4 assists. The next season he would play in his last NHL game.

Mellor retired in 1977.
