Playing career 2003–present

Tomáš Zohorna (born on January 3, 1988, in Havlíčkův Brod) is a Czech professional ice hockey center/left winger. He is currently playing with the HC Dynamo Pardubice of the Tipsport Extraliga.

He has two younger brothers, Radim and Hynek. They are hockey players too, they used to play for HC Kometa Brno. They also appeared together in one line in the Czech National Team.

Club career[]

His youth team is HC Chotěboř. Since 2003, he was playing junior hockey with the HC Pardubice organisation.

In 2005 - 2007, Tomáš Zohorna played with the Drummondville Voltigeurs of the QMJHL.

He made his senior debut in the 2007-08 season when he played 41 regular season games and 3 relegation games with the HC Moeller Pardubice of the Tipsport Extraliga, 6 games on loan with the HC VCES Hradec Králové of the 1. Liga and 1 game on loan with the HC Chrudim of the 2. Liga. He also played 1 regular season game and 3 play-off games with the HC Pardubice under-20 team.

In the 2008-09 season, Zohorna played 21 regular season games and 7 play-off games with the Hc Moeller Pardubice of the Tipsport Extraliga and 42 regular season games and 3 play-off games with the HC Chrudim of the 1. Liga.

In the 2009-10 season, Zohorna played only with the HC Eaton Pardubice (formerly HC Moeller Pardubice) of the Tipsport Extraliga and helped the team win the Tipsport Extraliga title.

In the next season, he played 47 regular season games and 9 play-off games with the HC Eaton Pardubice of the Tipsport Extraliga and 4 games on loan with the HC Chrudim of the 1. Liga.

In the 2011-12 season, Zohorna played 47 regular season games and 19 play-off games with the HC ČSOB Pojišťovna Pardubice (formerly HC Eaton Pardubice) of the Tipsport Extraliga. He became the Czech champion with the HC ČSOB Pojišťovna Pardubice for the second time in three years. He also played 1 game on loan with the HC VCES Hradec Králové of the 1. Liga in this season.

He stayed with the HC ČSOB Pojišťovna Pardubice of the Tipsport Extraliga until the end of the 2014-15 season.

Since 2015, Tomáš Zohorna was playing with the Amur Khabarovsk of the KHL. In the 2020-21 season, he was named the team's captain but after 38 games played, Zohorna terminated his contract due to family issues and returned to Czechia and finished the season with the HC Dynamo Pardubice (formerly HC ČSOB Pojišťovna Pardubice) of the Tipsport Extraliga where he played 9 regular season games and 8 play-off games.

International career[]

Tomáš Zohorna played with the Czech National Team at the 2016, 2017 and 2019 World Championships and at the 2018 Olympics.
