Thayer Academy is a private, co-educational prep school in Braintree, Massachusetts. It plays in the Independent School League (Boston Area).
The school opened the Valicente Rink as part of its' Thayer Sports Center which also contains indoor and outdoor athletic facilities for soccer, lacrosse, football, baseball and softball. The rink opened in 2019.
The rink in named in honor of Arthur Valicente who was the school's first an d long time ice hockey coach. The team is now coached by alum (1989) and former NHL player Tony Amonte.
