Not to be confused with the USA Hockey recognized sanctioning body, the Texas Amateur Hockey Association.
The Texas Amateur Hockey League was contested during the 1949-50 season. Games were played at the Dallas Ice Arena and the Will Rogers Memorial Center. The league would appear to have grown out of two teams folding in the United States Hockey League (1945–1951) which folded after the 1948-49 season and the third Texas based team, the Houston Huskies losing their lease at the Sam Houston Coliseum.
