Tesla Arena is a sports arena in Prague, Czech Republic. It is primarily used for ice hockey, and is the home arena of the HC Sparta Prague but is also used for music concerts. Tesla Arena was opened in 1962 as Sportovní hala and has a seating capacity for 6995 people for Ice hockey games. Also, every year it is the venue of a very prestigious synchronized skating competition.
Formerly called Sportovní hala, it was renamed in 1999 to Paegas Arena, in 2002 to T-Mobile Arena. On September 1, 2008 it was renamed Tesla Arena as part of a naming rights contract for three years with the Tesla electrotechnical conglomerate.
The Ice Hockey World Championships were held there, in whole or in part, in 1972, 1978, 1985, and 1992.
