The Telus Cup Atlantic Regional formerly the Air Canada Cup Atlantic Regional is the final qualifying round for the Telus Cup. The tournament presently involves the New Brunswick-PEI Major U18 Hockey League, Newfoundland and Labrador Major Midget Hockey League, and Nova Scotia U18 Major Hockey League. One team each from New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island qualifies from the New Brunswick-PEI Major U18 Hockey League. A host team also automatically qualifies for the tournament as well.
The first tournament was held in 1984 when the then Air Canada Cup was reduced from a twelve team tournament with each branch under Hockey Canada's jurisdiction sending one representative to the tournament to a host team and five regional qualifiers participating in the national championship tournament.
