Theodore William Fauss (born June 30, 1961 in Clinton, New York) is a retired American ice hockey defenceman. He played in the NHL for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

He played for Clarkson University from 1979 to 1983. No NHL team drafted him but after his graduation the Montreal Canadiens signed him as a free agent in 1983. Fauss played in the American Hockey League in 1983-84 for the Nova Scotia Voyageurs and in 1984-85 for the Sherbrooke Canadiens. In 1985 he won the Calder Cup.

Fauss sat out the 1985-86 season and then signed with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1986. He got into 28 games for the Leafs, scoirng two assists. He retired in 1988.

In 1993 Fauss made a comeback with the Utica Bulldogs and retired for good in 1994.
