Location of Tajikistan
Tajikistan is a nation in central Asia. Until 1991 it was a part of the Soviet Union as the Tajik Soviet Socialist Republic.
It has a population of almost 7,500,000 people. Its capital and largest city is Dushanbe.It borders Afghanistan to the south,Kyrgyzstan to to the north,Uzbekistan to the south,and China to the east.
