The Sudbury Cub Wolves were a junior team.
They played in every Northern Ontario Junior Playoff from 1921 to 1938 except for 1933-34. In that season the Cub Wolves withdrew because they could not get player transfers authorised by the Ontario Hockey Association.
The Cub Wolves won the Northern Ontario Junior title in 1925, 1932, 1922, 1935, and 1938.
They won the Eastern Canada playoffs in 1932 and 1935.
They won the Memorial Cup final in 1931-32 but lost the final in 1934-35.
The Cub Wolves ceased operations in 1939 and were not revived until 1949-50. They played for three seasons as an independent team until they folded again in 1952.
They came alive again in 1962 when junior hockey became a league in Northern Ontario again. Thsi team lasted until 1972 when the Sudbury Wolves of the Ontario Hockey League started up.
