
Stewart "Stew" Evans (June 19, 1908 – June 2, 1996) was a professional ice hockey player who played in the National Hockey League.
He was born in Ottawa, Ontario and played amateur hockey in Northern Ontario.
He played for the Detroit Red Wings, Montreal Maroons, and Montreal Canadiens. He won the Stanley Cup in 1935 with the Montreal Maroons. He served as the final Captain of the Montreal Maroons from 1937–1938.
Evans played in 367 NHL games and scored 28 goals and 49 assists.
He was the head coach of the Detroit Holzbaugh Ford of the Michigan-Ontario League in 1939-40.
