Steve Alan Peters (born January 23, 1960 in Peterborough, Ontario) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey forward who played two games in the National Hockey League for the Colorado Rockies.

He played major junior for the Peterborough Petes, Niagara Falls Flyers, Oshawa Generals, and the Windsor Spitfires from 1976 to 1980. The Colorado Rockies chose him 64th overall in the 1979 NHL Entry Draft and called him up for two games in 1979-80, when he scored an assist. This was the extent of his NHL experience.

He played with the Fort Worth Texans and Muskegon Mohawks from 1979 to 1983. In that year Peters went to Europe where he played for almost all of the next seven years in Germany, Switzerland, and Finland. He retired in 1990.
