Steve Nemeth (born February 11, 1967 in Calgary, Alberta) is a retired Canadian ice hockey centre. He played 12 NHL games for the New York Rangers. He was part of the Canadian team that was disqualified from the 1987 World Juniors for their involvement in the Punch-up in Piestany.

He played major junior for the Lethbridge Broncos and the Kamloops Blazers from 1982 to 1987. The New York Rangers chose him 196th overall in the 1985 NHL Entry Draft.

Nemeth turned pro in 1987-88 with the Colorado Rangers and also played 12 games for New York, scoring 2 goals. He played most of the 1988-89 and 1989-90 seasons with the Canadian National Team.

In 1990-91 Nemeth moved to Germany and played for EV Krefeld. The next season he went to Great Britain to join the Sheffield Steelers where he played through the 1996-97. He came back to North America to play with the Tacoma Sabercats in 1997-98 and then finished his career with the Kingston Hawks in Britain in 1998-99.
