Steve Lyon (born May 16, 1952 in Toronto, Ontario) is a professional ice hockey player who played three games in the National Hockey League with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

He played junior hockey for the Peterborough Petes in 1971-72 and was chosen 145th overall by the Minnesota North Stars in the 1972 NHL Amateur Draft.

He turned pro with the Saginaw Gears for one season (1972-73) and then played for the Columbus Owls from 1973 to 1977. While with the Owls Lyon signed as a free agent with the Pittsburgh Penguins and played three games for them in 1976-77.

In 1977-78 Lyon moved to senior hockey and for the Whitby Warriors and several teams in Georgetown before retiring in 1983.
