Steve Briere (b. March 25, 1977 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada) is a minor league hockey goalie.

Steve played junior hockey in the United States Hockey League (USHL) for the Omaha Lancers and Sioux City Musketeers during the 1996-97 season.

Steve attended University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) playing for the National Collegiate Athletic Association Chargers from 1997 - 2000 with a 28-9-2 record, a 2.82 goals against average and an 89.9 save percentage.

Steve has also played in a number of different teams and leagues including the Central Hockey League's (CHL) Memphis Riverkings (1999-00) and Amarillo Gorillas (2004-05), the East Coast Hockey League's (ECHL) Mississippi Sea Wolves (2000-01), Cincinnati Cyclones (2001-02) and Toledo Storm (2001-02), the International Hockey League's (IHL) Manitoba Moose (2000-01), the American Hockey League's (AHL) Providence Bruins (2000-01), and currently the Southern Professional Hockey League's (SPHL) Huntsville Havoc (2007-08). Steve has also played overseas with the Scottish National League's Fife Flyers (2002-04) and the Elite Ice Hockey League's (EIHL) Basingstoke Bison (2005-06).
