Stéphane Jean-Gilles Richer (born April 28, 1966 in Hull, Quebec) is a former Canadian professional ice hockey player, who currently works as Director of Sport and Head Coach for the Deutsche Eishockey Liga team Hamburg Freezers.
He played in the National Hockey League (NHL) from 1992 to 1995.

Stephane Richer spent most of his professional career playing in the minors, but did play parts of three seasons in the NHL with the Tampa Bay Lightning (1992–93), Boston Bruins (1992–93), Florida Panthers (1993–94 and 1994–95). He played a total of 27 NHL games totalling 1 goal, 5 assists, and 6 points. Later, he spent his time in Germany, playing for the Mannheim Eagles and the Frankfurt Lions.
Richer began 2006 his coaching career and was named as the head coach of the Kassel Huskies of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga, who worked between January 2010. On 6 January 2010 left Kassel Huskies and signed an contract as Director of Sport for Kassel Huskies and on 25 March 2010 was named as Head Coach of his club, he will work in double function.
