Stan Butler (born February 2, 1956, in Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian coach who is in hos 14th season as head coach of the Brampton Battalion of the Ontario Hockey League.

Butler started his coaching career with various levels of the Wexford Raiders. In 1994-95 he was named coach of the Oshawa Generals and stayed there for two seasons.

In 1996-97 Butler moved (for one season) to the Prince George Cougars.

He was named the Battalion's coach in their first season in 1998-99 and has been the coach ever since. As of the end of the 2010-11 season, Butler has a record of 398-434-52 with Brampton and a total record of 468-483-65 in the Ontario Hockey League.

Butler was an assistant coach for Canada's Under-18 team in 1998 and head coach in 1999. He then became the assistant coach of Canada's team at the 1999 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships. In 2001 and 2002 Butler was the head coach of the Canadian team.
