The Southern Maine Huskies are a Women's Divison III team in the New England Hockey Conference which was known as ECAC East until 2015.

The team represents the University of Southern Maine which is located in Gorham, Maine. Both the men's and women's teams play out of the USM Ice Arena, which opened in the fall of 1998 and has an Olympic size ice sheet (200'x100')

The women's program appears to have started with the 1998-99 season (earliest information found).

The team had not won the regular season or conference tournament while a member of ECAC East. The team has not made any appearances in the NCAA Division III women's hockey tournament to date.
