Soldier Field is the home of the Chicago Bears of the National Football League.  The stadium was first opened as Municipal Grant Park Stadium on October 9, 1924.  It was formally renamed Soldier Field on November 11, 1925.  It was closed for renovations from January 2002 to September 2003.  It hosted the fourth game of the 2014 NHL Stadium Series on March 1, 2014 with the Chicago Blackhawks hosting the Pittsburgh Penguins.  Other games in the series were held at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles and two games at Yankee Stadium in New York City.
