The Slave Lake Winterhawks were a men's senior A hockey team from Slave Lake, Alberta that were charter members of the North Central Hockey League (Alberta). The Winterhawks played from 1995 to 2017 with the exception of the 2012-13 season. The team won six league playoff championships (1997, 2002 to 2006), one Alberta Senior A championship (2005) and four Alberta Senior B championships (1998, 2000, 2001. 2004). The team would put in for a leave of absence from the league after the 2016-17 season, and have yet to return.
