Phillip Gordon "Skip" Krake (born October 14, 1943, in North Battleford, Saskatchewan) is a former professional ice hockey centre. He played in the National Hockey League with the Boston Bruins, Los Angeles Kings, and Buffalo Sabres. In addition, he played in the World Hockey Association with the Cleveland Crusaders and Edmonton Oilers.
He played junior hockey for the Estevan Bruins from 1960 to 1964 and was called up for two games with the parent Boston Bruins in 1963-64. From 1964 to 1967, Krake played mostly for the Bruins' minor pro farm teams.
In 1967-68 he made the Bruins as a regular, and was traded to the Los Angeles Kings for a first round choice that turned out to be Reggie Leach. He played part-time for the Kings for two seasons and then was chosen by the Buffalo Sabres in the 1970 NHL Expansion Draft.
Krake was low on the Sabres' depth chart, and was sent down to the Salt Lake Golden Eagles for the 1971-72 season. He jumped to the Cleveland Crusaders of the World Hockey Association in 1972. He played three seasons in Cleveland and ended his career with the Edmonton Oilers in 1975-76.
In his NHL career, Krake appeared in 249 games, scoring 23 goals and adding 40 assists. He played in 207 WHA games, scoring 52 goals and adding 77 assists.
