The Skidmore Thoroughbreads are a Men's Division III team in the New England Hockey Conference which was known as ECAC East until 2015. The team represents Skidmore College located in Saratoga Springs, New York.
The team plays out of the Saratoga Springs Ice Rink located about 2.5 miles (4km) off campus.
The school presently does not offer women's ice hockey at the varisty level. However, they do have women's ice hockey as a club program. The school also has a men's club hockey program known as the Halfbreds.
