"Georgians" was the name of the sports teams of Sir George Williams University, located in Montreal, Quebec. They had been known as the "Maroons" until 1964. In 1975 Sir George Williams University merged with Loyola College to form Concordia University.
The Georgians were members of the Ottawa St Lawrence Conference and the Canadian Intercollegiate Athletic Union, now known as Canadian Interuniversity Sport, through the 1970-71 season, at which time the leagues operating in Ontario and Quebec were arranged along provincial lines. From 1971-72 onwards, the Georgians joined the Quebec Universities Athletic Association.
See the page for the Concordia Stingers for all records on both the Loyola Warriors and the Sir George Williams Georgians.
